Preaching & Leading

God’s call to ministry began at the young age of 17 when Dr. Vandiver was elected as a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This ministry laid a solid foundation of service and commitment to ministry that found its culmination in the call from God to pursue a Masters of Divinity Degree at Erskine Theological Seminary, graduating class of 2015.

Rev. Vandiver commenced his preaching ministry at the young age of 27, and began serving as Assistant Pastor at age 29, while serving at Gospel Cathedral in Augusta, GA. For over 20 years he has been a strong advocate of outreach ministry and community development and involvement. Under his direction a plethora of innovative community services were conceptualized and implemented, such as Final Shot, an outreach ministry for young men centered on a shared love of basketball, as well as being of frequent service to local prison ministry, and the development and implementation of numerous courses in leadership, church history, theology, and effective methods of teaching.

Dr. Vandiver is married to the lovely Maria Vandiver, his best friend of over 13 years. They are the proud parents of a son, Terrence, Jr., and two daughters, Taryn and Tierra. Dr. Vandiver is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
